5.3 Special Items
This paragraph is included in your selections.
a. The design of the following are considered special items and are not covered in detail in these Standards:
1) Water Distribution Pump Station
2) Reservoirs
3) Wells
4) Treatment Plants
5) Pressure Regulating Devices
6) Flow Measurement Devices
7) Relining of the Existing Water Mains
8) Chemical Addition or pH Adjustment
9) Bridge Crossings
10) Creek or Stream Crossings
b. Review and approval of the above special items by the Director shall be required, as well as approval by the Oregon Health Authority- Drinking Water Services (OHA-DWS) as applicable. Full design calculations shall be submitted for review prior to approval. Special items may also require review and approval by the OHA-DWS.
