3.3 Special Items
This paragraph is included in your selections.
a. The design of the following are considered special items and are not covered in detail in these Standards:
1) Stormwater Pump Stations and Force Mains
2) Siphons
3) Energy Dissipators
4) Flow Measurement Devices
5) Bore Crossings
6) Concrete Box Culverts (where standard culverts are not feasible)
7) Alternative methods or technology for detention will be given consideration
b. Review and approval of the above special items by the City Engineer shall be required. Full design calculations shall be submitted for review prior to approval.
